Inn On The River - Glen Rose

Excellent hotel with great amenities like Wi-Fi, picnic area, luggage storage, and air conditioning. On my first visit, the staff kindly offered a cold drink to help me cool off, which I still remember. I highly recommend relaxing under the oak trees with fresh cookies and tea. I'm definitely coming back for Christmas.

The breakfast was delicious and wonderful with a great selection of items. The location was stunning and marvellous, so close to a romantic getaway, Granbury, the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, and the State Park, and the square and shops, in a downtown area. Also, the hotel was 10 minutes walk from a local museum.

The English breakfast is enjoyable! The hotel offers stunning location just off the local sites, a bar/restaurant and the Paluxy river which is at the back of the inn.

My stay was enjoyable as the inn is just a few steps away from heritage park and only about 2 km from big rocks park, making it easy to explore the area and indulge in some nature walks.

Beautiful setting, comfortable room, with the added perks of wi-fi and a bar/lounge area for a relaxing drink by the river after a day of exploration.

Breakfast was 5-star worthy!

The staff were accommodating, our dietary restrictions were met and even offering a warm welcome drink. The atmosphere was peaceful, especially relaxing by the river each evening. A perfect spot for family bonding.

Parking could be tricky at busy times, which might stress some guests.

Wow, what an experience. The queen room was definitely not a queen size, very suspicious if you ask me. The breakfast was less than appetizing-i almost gave a good review, but the food looked like 3x3 pieces of beef jerky! I expected a personal welcome gift for my trouble, but apparently that wasn't in the budget.

Staying at the Inn On The River was like a warm embrace from nature. The inviting atmosphere reminded me of a cozy home. Waking up to the fine views by the river enhanced my experience. I appreciate the lovely morning coffee and the charming decor, easily making it worthwhile despite some initial hiccups.

A Truly Charming Stay with Excellent Breakfast

The freshly made breakfast each morning was a good surprise-especially the smothered breakfast burrito with pico de gallo. The antique decor added such a unique touch to the atmosphere. Plus, the serene views of the river were the perfect backdrop for a relaxing retreat. My only suggestion would be to add a few more dog-friendly areas outside traveling with pets.

It was just a proper fit for a short stayover in Glen Rose with good value for cost. The staff were friendly, made the check-in process smoother than expected. Look for nearby restaurants for better meal options instead of relying on the on-site dining.

The Inn is a wonderful getaway for families or couples. We enjoyed relaxing on the patio under the big oak trees after a long drive, with fresh cookies and tea. The lovely breakfast with homemade apple muffins was a highlight of our stay.

My wife says that a poolside snack bar would be great for families.

Relaxing by the river under the old oak trees added a nice touch to my time. The friendly dogs cute us. The room was comfortable, but parking was a bit tricky. As a European traveler in a committed relationship, I appreciated the warm atmosphere and the unique charm of this place.
